Get involved to Improve Temporary Accommodation

Temporary Accommodation Action Groups (TAAGs), are cross-sector, borough-wide groups which aim to create productive connections and innovative solutions to the most pressing issues people are facing in Temporary Accommodation. We do this through creating a blame-free space which utilises the strengths and expertise of its members to leverage local change.

Members of the group include: 

  • Local Authority 

  • People with Lived Experience of Temporary Accommodation 

  • VCFSE organisations 

  • Landlords 

  • Health professionals 

  • School representatives 

… in short - anyone who has a stake in improving conditions in Temporary Accommodation in their borough. 

We meet once every 6-8 weeks, in-person with an option to join online. Some of the things TAAGs have done include supporting a local authority to introduce free Wi-Fi to all properties, co-creating standardised licensing agreements, and updating local allocations schemes and housing strategies.
