  1. Listening and Social Action Campaign to listen to and engage the community and gauge its needs.

  2. Identifying and mapping green spaces in the locality which are accessible to the public and spaces which have the potential to become green spaces the public can have access to.

  • Anti-Apartheid Legacy

    Opening soon as a permanent home for our programme, The Anti-Apartheid Legacy: Centre of Memory and Learning (CML) will promote the legacy and values of the Southern African liberation struggle and the UK’s central role within this world-changing history whilst supporting contemporary discourse around social (in)justice, inclusion and multi-racial collaboration for social transformation.

    We’re a small neighbourhood-based housing association, formed in 1967 to provide genuinely affordable rented housing in Barnsbury, Islington. Today we provide 299 homes throughout Islington.

    Better Space is a collaborative space for purpose-driven entrepreneurs and freelancers. The community fosters both physical and digital connections to create positive social impact and aims to support local businesses in an inclusive environment where all people are welcome!

  • Claremont Project

    We are a very friendly, open, and welcoming community. We have a large programme of groups, classes and projects aimed at being creative and healthy in body and mind, and at helping to develop real and lasting friendships. Most of our activities are for people aged 55 and over. We also provide a low-cost psychotherapy service for Islington residents (18+).

  • Cubitt Artists

    Cubitt is an artist-led co-operative built on a belief in the value of art and artists in society. Cubitt enables contemporary visual arts practice to thrive as a critical, peer-led activity. This is achieved through the provision of co-operatively run studios in central London and unique development opportunities for curators interwoven with curatorial and artistic programmes.

  • Bright Futures

    We know that being a parent is not always easy and that all families need extra help at some stage as children grow up.

    This might be because your housing situation is difficult or you are hoping to get into work or training. A relationship may have broken down or someone close to you has gone to prison. Your teenager’s behaviour might be challenging at home or at school. You may have growing debts or you may be at risk of losing your home.

  • Gingerbread

    Gingerbread campaigns for better rights for single-parent families so that their children are not disadvantaged and do not experience poverty and isolation.

    Gingerbread offers a free telephone advice line for single parents, a membership scheme with over 10,000 members with access to local self-help groups, online forums, training opportunities and events, and regular information about discounts on services and goods, days out and events.

  • Islington Healing Network

    Our mission is to promote health, wellness and personal growth in the North London community.

    The Healing Network runs workshops about meditation, nurturing connections, self-care, stress relief techniques and more.

  • James Place

    We are a charity offering free, life-saving treatment to suicidal men in our centres in Liverpool and London.

    We stop men dying by suicide. Our professional therapists get quickly to the heart of a man’s suicidal crisis and help him solve it.

    We are unique because our treatment is proven to work, quick to access and delivered in a safe, friendly, non-clinical environment by trained, professional therapists

  • North London Cares

    North London Cares brings older and younger people together – to share time, laughter, new experiences and friendship, so that everyone can feel part of our changing city, rather than left behind by it.

    We bring more older and younger people together in the boroughs of Camden and Islington and sustain meaningful relationships between them.

    Supporting older and younger neighbours to feel visible, confident and that they have a stake in their communities.
