Funding Opportunity - Islington Giving
Applications for the Islington Giving Community Panel Fund are now open! The deadline for applications is 12pm (midday) Monday 8th September 2025.
Our new resident-led Community Panel brings together people of all ages, backgrounds, and life experiences from across Islington to make funding decisions. After spending time coming together to discuss what is important to local people, they have agreed the following priorities for the £150,000 of funding available that seek to enhance what is already working well and to further improve access – both in terms of direct support and better information about complimentary services on offer by:
Providing access to a range of services at a single location
Providing a local/hyper-local presence
Providing up-to-date and accessible information about other services available locally, with effective referral and signposting
Providing hope and a spark
Projects can be open to everyone or tailored to a particular group of residents such as young or older people, men/boys, disabled people and people who face language barriers. If open to everyone, projects must specifically demonstrate how they are accessible for people who may otherwise be at greater risk of societal isolation for example, disabled people or those with additional needs.
On the Islington Giving website, you will find more detailed guidance including essential and desirable criteria for projects and a link to the applicatin form. You will also be able to read more about how the Panel came to shape their funding call.
We consistently receive more applications than we can fund – and will only be able to fund around 6-9 projects with this funding. The panel hope to fund projects of different scope and size, and welcome applications from smaller organisations and multi-year proposals – the maximum grant is likely to be around £25,000.
Please only apply if you think you fit ALL the essential criteria and priorities for this fund. If you are unsure or have any questions please contact patrick.jones@cripplegate.org.uk
