MGWT are excited to invite you to the launch of our You Belong in Islington campaign on Thursday 16th of October, at Manor Gardens. The first part of this campaign is create a Solidarity Wall that we can display with our collective voices on.

This campaign is about creating a visible, collective message of unity and belonging across our borough — celebrating the voices of refugees, migrants, LGBTQ+ communities, people from minoritised backgrounds, and those who were born and grew up in Islington. We want to bring together intergenerational perspectives — those who have lived here for decades and those who have just arrived — to shape a message that belongs to us all.

The Access Hub in Islington will also be part of this campaign, standing by the message that everyone belongs, and ensuring that the voices of residents are heard and celebrated.

12.30 – 1.15 pm: Light lunch and informal welcome

1.15 – 2.00 pm: Campaign introduction and creative activities

2.00 – 3.30 pm: Decorating the Solidarity Wall together

We warmly invite residents, VCS partners, community groups, schools, leaders, and youth services to join us in shaping this campaign. Your voices and creativity will help bring You Belong in Islington to life.
