Jessica Plummer: Shaquan Sammy Plummer Foundation - Building trust with the community session

The session is for professionals working with families and the community in Islington
Overview - Jessica Plummer lost her son Shaquan Sammy Plummer to knife violence on the 30 January 2015. In this session she will speak about the impact of the tragic loss of her son on her family and the work she is doing to help change the mindset of children and young people alongside their parents through the foundation she has set up in memory of Shaquan. Jessica will talk about building trust with parents worried about the safety of their children in the community and the work she is doing in schools, The Old Bailey and with the police to raise awareness of the impact of knife crime.
