Refugee Week - Islington as a Place of Sanctuary Guided Walking Tour

In conjunction with the borough, Islington Guided Walks present a guided walk exploring the rich history of immigration and asylum in Islington. Italian and Irish families were the amongst the first to settle, together with Huguenot refugees. Explore Little Italy assocations with Mazzini, the Irish contribution to construction, the Windrush generation and ANC exiles who lived and worked in Islington
