Islington Ecology Centre, 191 Drayton Park London N5 1PH
John Welsh has been a gardener all his life. Sometimes it's been a hobby and sometimes it's been a job. His years of experience have taught him much about nature and how we can create small areas of nature havens in cities, ensuring that our streets are bursting with bees, birds, butterflies and bugs!
As part of Islington in Bloom's series of talks, this one will be all about how we can transform tree pits from dry, rubbish collections into beautiful, biodiverse mini greenspaces.
Please arrive at around 2.45pm for a 3pm start and bring a small plant pot no bigger than 9cm with you.
